These terms cover the Subac website, the installable web app, and the iOS and Android apps that open the same service. Subac is an educational tool for practising Qur'an memorisation. It is a product of Subac / Mohamed Jeyte.
Accounts
You need an account to save progress. Give an email address you can open, and keep your password to yourself. A teacher who creates student accounts is responsible for those accounts and for telling families how the class uses the app. Children should use Subac with a parent or teacher. Subac is a general education app, not a product made only for children under 13.
How to use Subac
- Use it to listen, read, and practise recitation.
- The microphone is for a recitation you choose to record, so it can be checked against the ayah. Do not record someone else without their permission.
- Do not try to break the service, overload the speech checker, or use another person's account.
Your practice data
Scores, transcripts, and the mistake journal are stored so the app can show progress. What is collected, who else sees it, and how long it is kept are described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete the account from Profile, or from the deletion page.
Qur'an text, fonts, and audio
The Arabic text, the Uthmanic Hafs font, and reciter audio come from the sources named in About and credits. Those notices are part of using the app. Subac's own screens, the Qaaidah drills written for Subac, and the Subac logo belong to Subac. Do not present the King Fahd Complex font as anyone else's work, and do not change the Qur'an text.
No religious or technical warranty
Subac is a practice aid. A score can be wrong. A reciter clip can fail to load. The service can be interrupted. Nothing in the app is a fatwa or a substitute for a teacher. The app is provided as it stands, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Subac is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. If a local law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.
Changes
If these terms change in a material way, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Subac after that date means you accept the updated terms.
